Lukman Edy Ready To Face PKB Report To The Police Against Him

JAKARTA - Former Secretary General of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhammad Lukman Edy admitted that he was ready to face the PKB report to the National Police and a number of Regional Police against him.

"I am ready to face it," said Lukman as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 6.

According to him, reporting PKB against him is inappropriate to do because the matters questioned should be resolved internally.

PKB previously questioned Lukman's statement when giving a press statement after attending an invitation from the special committee formed by the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) which took care of relations between the two institutions, on Wednesday (31/7).

Lukman mengaku menjadikan forum itu untuk menyampaikan lebih lengkap tentang pelanggaran-penggalan yang dilakukan Ketua Umum PKB Muhaimin Iskandar yang akrab disapa Cak Imin terhadap partai tersebut.

"My statement is my strong criticism of Cak Imin's leadership. The general chairman of political parties should not be anti-critic," he said.

Therefore, Lukman emphasized that he would not report PKB back to the police.

"Because for me the self-criticism of the area is internal. I challenge arguing in front of the congress forum, clarifying my criticism in front of the congress, so that the territory and branch of PKB will judge," he said.

As for whether he was afraid that he would be considered a traitor by PKB under the leadership of Cak Imin, he gave his opinion.

"The Cak Imin regime is very exclusive, only a few people. Apart from these limited people, it is not considered PKB. This company Tbk is reduced to cv," he said.

As of Tuesday, PKB reported Lukman Edy to the National Police, East Java Police, West Nusa Tenggara Police, to the Central Java Police.
