Defendant His Lover's Killer In Bogor Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison

The Bogor District Court (PN), West Java, sentenced the defendant RA alias Alung (20) to 14 years in prison for being found guilty of killing a woman who is also his lover, Fitria Wulandari (22), in December 2023.

"The defendant was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Establishing the period of arrest and detention that the defendant had served was reduced entirely from the sentence imposed," said Chief Judge Irwanto as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 6.

The victim's attorney, Dennis Ellandi, said the prosecutor's decision was almost optimal because Alung was previously charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 15 years in prison.

"Given that there are other considerations from the judge, it is beyond our control. We are said to accept it because it is almost optimal," said Dennis.

Dennis regretted that Alung was not sentenced to the maximum sentence, considering that before the murder of Fitria on December 3, 2023, the defendant had only been out of prison for 3 days due to cases of peaceful persecution.

"That's a recurring act and an addition. Only the judge didn't look at it from that side. However, from the victim's family so far he has received, Alung also at the trial did not refuse and accept his sentence," said Dennis.

This incident occurred in December 2023 at a hotel, Kedungbadak Village, Bogor City. Alung killed his girlfriend, Fitria, in the room, then took the victim's body to a shophouse, Jalan Dokter Sumeru, Menteng Village, then left the victim there.
