Minister Of State Secretary: Cabinet Session At IKN Discusses Government Transition

JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary Pratikno said the plenary cabinet meeting chaired by President Joko Widodo with ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet in the capital city of Nusantara will discuss one of the transitions to government.

"It's a plenary cabinet meeting, of course the discussion will be more general, like the general plenary cabinet session," said Pratikno at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 6.

Pratikno explained that all ministers would be invited to attend a plenary cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace at IKN which was scheduled for Monday, August 12, 2024.

The Minister of State Secretary explained that discussions in cabinet meetings include the evaluation of the government this year, especially the last year of President Joko Widodo-Vice President Ma'ruf Amin's administration.

In addition, the trial also discussed next year's planning including the transition of the government of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and the elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Moreover, this is in the final days of President Jokowi's administration, then the transition to Mr. President Prabowo, around that," said Pratikno.

Previously, Plt. Head of the IKN Authority/Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono prepared the Garuda Palace and the State Palace as places for a cabinet meeting chaired by President Joko Widodo in the capital city of Nusantara, East Kalimantan.

Although he did not want to go into details, Basuki explained that his party would prepare the two palaces for a trial with the ministers.

"If you don't know me yet. Is it at the State Palace or Garuda Palace. We will prepare both of them," said Basuki when met at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Monday (5/8).

Basuki explained that at the State Palace, OIKN prepared four hall or room to cover all cabinet ministers.
