SEMARANG - The Regional Management Board of the Central Java National Awakening Party reported former PKB Secretary General Lukman Edy to the Central Java Police on suspicion of slander and defamation.

The report was made by the Secretary of the Central Java PKB DPW Sukirman together with a number of attorneys to the Central Java Regional Police SPKT in Semarang, Tuesday, August 6.

Based on the report, the Central Java PKB has formed a legal team to review the problem.

"It has been received and we submit it to the Central Java Regional Police for follow-up," he said.

Sukirman said that some of the slanders conveyed by the reported parties, among others, said that the PKB was not transparent or that the General Chairperson of the PKB had unlimited authority.

In the report, he said, a number of online news links were also included in the capture of a number of mass media about the reported statement.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Artanto, said that his party was still checking the extent of the report.

"As soon as possible, the progress will be conveyed," said Kombes Artanto.

Previously, former PKB Secretary General Lukman Edy revealed the role of the reduced PKB Syuro Council based on the results of the PKB Congress in Bali.

Lukman assessed that changes in PKB that reduced the role of the Shura Council had an impact on PKB relations with PB U.
