7 Suspects Of Brawl In Magelang As A Result Of 1 Resident Died Arrested

The Magelang City Police in Central Java arrested seven suspects involved in a brawl that resulted in 1 resident's death. In addition to arresting the suspect, the police also continue to carry out an in-depth investigation so that the case is immediately resolved.

Magelang Police Chief Kombes Pol Musthofa said, of the seven arrested suspects, one was an adult, while the other six were minors.

"We are now gathering evidence, which is clear, from the suspect's statement there is nothing that leads to the suspect being between the suspect and complete evidence," Musthofa said when met at the Police Headquarters on Tuesday, August 6.

From the suspect's statement, the brawl started with mutual challenges through social media. During Sunday's brawl, there were two brawls, one of which resulted in the death of one person.

"So the plan to fight from city junior high schools and junior high schools in Candimulyo. Then the city junior high school felt disappointed while those from Candimulyo felt a lack of strength and asked for help from several people. From that incident there was a difference of understanding that led to an incident of persecution that caused one person to die," he added.

Musthofa added that the two groups that fought to the point of taking the death toll due to being hit by a sharp weapon were a series, or already knew each other about a brawl.

Five people were identified from two groups, two from other groups.

"Between the two parties already knew each other about the incident, the victims were not one or three people. So in the group of perpetrators there were those who were hit by stone throws, then from the two groups there was also not one group," he explained.

Until now the police are still investigating and investigating this case. It is estimated that the number of suspects will increase, because at the time of the incident many people were involved in the brawl.

"We have studied who invited, who was involved. What is clear is that at this time we have won seven people, one adult and six minors, related to those who brought weapons and persecution that resulted in death," he explained.

It is known that this unfortunate incident occurred on the Magelang-Salatiga road, precisely in Purwosari Village, Tegalrejo District, Magelang Regency in the early hours of the morning. As a result of the incident, three Tegalrejo residents became victims. One of them died as a result of being hit by sharp objects and two people were injured.
