JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently investigating the corruption case of PT Jembatan Nusantara's business cooperation and acquisition by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) 2019-2022. There are allegations that this process hit the rules, causing state losses.

"The process (in carrying out business cooperation and acquisition, ed) has no legal basis," as quoted from a VOI source, Monday, August 5.

This source also said that the acquisition was inappropriate. Reporting from a number of reports, PT ASDP purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion.

This state-owned company then controlled 100 percent of PT Jembatan Nusantara shares with 53 managed vessels. "So all acquisition rules are violated," said the source.

The KPK has not disclosed in detail the alleged corruption that occurred. KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika only said the investigation process was still ongoing.

In this investigation process a number of witnesses have been summoned. Among them are the President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Ira Puspadewi (IP) who has been prevented from leaving the country.

In addition, the President Director of PT Jembatan Nusantara for the 2019-2022 period Youlman Jamal was questioned as a witness on Friday, August 2. At that time, the chronology of his company's acquisition by the state-owned company was asked by investigators.

Previously reported, the KPK opened an investigation into alleged corruption at PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry. Currently, four people have been prevented from leaving the country based on a letter sent to the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

The three people prevented from leaving the country were internal parties, namely HMAC, MYH, and IP. While the rest are private parties with the initials A.
