JAKARTA - The Delta Airlines airline from Boston, Massachusetts, United States (US) to Rome, Italy, was struck by lightning while in the air.
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the flight was diverted back to Boston Logan International Airport on Sunday, August 4, after the crew reported a lightning strike
The Airbus A330 plane landed back in Boston at 19.20 local time safely and without incident.
Delta apologized to passengers for flight delays and said they were trying to continue the journey as soon as possible.
