Kamala Harris's Camp Claims Trump Is Afraid To Want A Second Presidential Election Debate Schedule To Be Shown

JAKARTA - The campaign team for presidential candidate Kamala Harris said it did not agree with Donald Trump's rival decision to advance the 2024 United States (US) presidential election debate today, Sunday, September 4 local time at Fox News.

Kamala asked Trump's camp to respect the agreement on the debate schedule on September 10.

"He has to stop playing games and attend the debate he has agreed to on September 10. The Vice President (Harris) will attend, however, to take the opportunity to speak to the national audience during the main broadcast hours," said campaign team Kamala on social media X, Sunday 4 August.

Kamala's side claimed the Trump camp was scared, which is why she announced that the debate would be held on September 4.

"We are pleased to discuss further debate after the debate that has been approved by the two campaign teams," the Kamala team said in a statement.

For the past few weeks, Trump and Harris have failed to agree on a broadcast date and channel for the 2024 US Election debate.

The second round of the 2024 US Presidential Election debate initially involved the deputy Democrat at the time US President Joe Biden who finally decided to step down to replace Kamala, with a schedule being held on the ABC News broadcaster on September 10.

In this regard, Trump said the previous deal was no longer relevant, and accused ABC News of sympathy for Democrats and spreading false news.
