Kocong Ukrainian Boy Who Went Viral Without Clothes Was Secured By Bali Immigration

JAKARTA - A boy from Ukraine with the initials BS who is still seven years old, who has often gone viral on social media, was finally secured by Immigration Officer Class I TPI Denpasar, Bali.

The boy who often 'worn' shirtless on the streets around Pelimatan Village, Ubud District, Bali, Gianyar Regency, Bali, is often in the spotlight.

Kocong, his nickname, often walks around without the supervision of his parents.

In addition, BS once went viral climbing trees, and climbed the roof of a resident's house and also had time to carry a sickle weapon, climbing the billboard board alone.

BS and his mother, a Ukrainian citizen with the initials SB, were finally secured by Denpasar Immigration on Thursday (1/7).

"The activities outside have no adult supervision, one of which is on social media displayed carrying sharp weapons. We have secured it on August 1 at the Denpasar Immigration. Initially, we made a summons first but because they didn't come, the officers finally picked up the mother and child," said Head of the Denpasar Immigration Office, Ridha Sah Putra, Friday 2 August.

This Ukrainian boy first came to Indonesia on December 21, 2023, with his residence permit ending January 21, 2024.

"So the mother and child have committed immigration violations, namely overstay for 191 days. We have also written the embassy to facilitate the process of repatriation and deportation of the mother and child," he added.

From his mother's statement, they no longer have living expenses in Bali. While the boy's father is still in Norway.

This child and mother have been living in people's homes in Ubud, Bali.

"They came through Soekarno Hatta Airport and had tried to collect money to return home before his residence permit expired and was not enough and there was no attempt to extend (visa on arrival) to the immigration office. This mother and child live with residents or residential areas, so some also accommodate them in the Ubud area," said Ridha.

"From the mother's confession, indeed her mother can't tell her child anymore and frees up the activities of her child who roams on the side of the road until night. Continue to climb tiles from house to house, on the one hand it's a small child but on the other hand humanity, we secure this for an action, so that the child doesn't harm himself either and because it is known that this mother and child are overstayed," said Ridha.
