PTPN Accepts Application For Bogor Regency Government To Expand Rest Areas In Puncak Area

BOGOR - PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) III granted the request of the Bogor Regency Government, West Java, to expand the rest area of Mount Mas in the Puncak tourist area. "If we are up to him (Pj Bogor Regent Asmawa Tosepu), at least 4 hectares, above it can be as long as it is intended," said PTPN III President Director Mohammad Abdul Ghani after meeting the Bogor Regency Government officials at Agro Wisata Gunung Mas, Cisarua, Bogor Regency, Antara, Wednesday, July 31. The Bogor Regency Government needs additional land to provide a number of supporting facilities in the rest area which now has an area of 7 hectares on land owned by PTPN. Abdul Ghani said that his party fully supports the efforts made by the Bogor Regency Government in making arrangements in the Puncak tourist area. "I see that his (Regent's Acting) programs are good, earlier we discussed the expansion of the rest area. So that the rest area that has been dedicated by the Regent to accommodate traders who have been on the sidewalk can be accommodated," he said. He targets to process the Bogor Regency Government's application no later than next week. Meanwhile, Acting Regent of Bogor Asmawa Tosepu in the same place admitted that he had formed a technical team to realize the addition of the Mount Mas Rest Area land. "Thank you, Mr. Director of PTPN, especially those who have provided a place, then the second is some proposals related to the arrangement of the Puncak area, we will follow up," said Asmawa. He hopes that with the support of various parties, the arrangement of the Puncak area can run sustainably. "Of course all of this is to restore Puncak as a national tourist area. We will direct district-scale activities on a provincial scale in this Puncak area, the Mount Mas Rest Area area, hopefully this will become sugar, so that the ants can be present in this area," he said. The Bogor Regency Government is currently structuring the Puncak tourist area, starting with the transfer of street vendors to the Gunung Mas Rest Area on Monday (24/7). In controlling this merchant stall, the Bogor Regency Government razed 329 buildings along the Puncak Line, consisting of 185 buildings from Gantole to the Gunung Mas Rest Area, and 144 buildings from the Taman Safari Indonesia Intersection to the Gunung Mas Rest Area. Now, there are still 194 street vendors who will be moved to rest areas by controlling their stalls along the Puncak route. The Bogor Regency Government ensures that the economy of street vendors or street vendors in the Tourism Area will be better after moving to the Gunung Mas Rest Area. The construction of a rest area on an area of 7 hectares belonging to PT Perkebunan Nusantara has been carried out since 2020-2021.

The Gunung Mas Rest Area has a capacity of 516 kiosks consisting of 100 stalls for wet traders such as vegetables and fruit, as well as 416 kiosks for dry traders such as souvenirs and snacks. Each kiosk has an area of 11 square meters, both wet and dry.
