JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated billions of rupiah and foreign currency denominations allegedly related to allegations of corruption in the Semarang City Government (Pemkot), Central Java. "“Investigators confiscated the 2023 APBD documents along with the changes, the procurement documents for each service, the 2023 and 2024 APBD documents, documents containing hand records, around Rp1 billion in cash and 9,650 euros in foreign currency,” said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 30.
Tessa said the search was carried out in a number of places in the cities of Semarang, Kudus, Salatiga, and others. “ Investigators have conducted searches on 10 private houses, four official offices or OPD Semarang City Government, Central Java DPRD, seven private offices, and two other party offices,” he said.
Later this finding will be clarified to related parties. The process is usually carried out in examining witnesses that have been scheduled by investigators.

Previously reported, the KPK announced the start of the investigation of three alleged corruption crimes within the Semarang City Government (Pemkot). The details are the procurement of goods and services within the Semarang City Government in 2023 – 2024, the alleged extortion of civil servants related to incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area, as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities in 2023-2024.

Based on information circulating, the four people who were prevented were Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu who was the Mayor of Semarang with her husband, Alwin Basri; Chairman of the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (Gapensi) Semarang City, Martono; and Rahmat Djangkar who is a private party.
In this case, the anti-corruption commission has named four suspects. The notification letter for the start of the investigation (SPDP) has been sent and is said to have been received by them even though it has not been submitted.
