Regarding Jokowi Invites IKN Influencers, Grace Natalie: To Submit Correct Information

JAKARTA - Presidential Special Staff Grace Natalie said the presence of influencers in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) with President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Jokowi a few days ago was a form of public transparency.

"Regarding the presence of influencers at IKN with President Jokowi, a few days ago, I would like to explain that this activity is a form of transparency to the public. Many people are curious about IKN," Grace Natalie said in a short message received in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 30, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said that because currently the development process is still ongoing at IKN and cannot be opened to be visited by the public at large, the presence must be carried out alternately.

"In addition to social media activists, media leaders will then be invited, representatives of local community leaders and mass organizations. In order to be able to witness for themselves the development of IKN and convey correct information to their respective communities," he said.

According to Grace, if you don't see for yourself, people can easily be fooled by the opinion of IKN development which is said to be carried out carelessly and in a hurry.

"Even though the IKN development is not in a hurry at all. IKN is a long-term project, which is divided into five phases until 2045 or one Century of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

He said that currently IKN development is in the first phase of 2022-2024, with the completion rate already above 80 percent.

"So everything is on the track, according to schedule, no one is in a hurry," said Grace Natalie.

On Sunday, July 28, President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo invited a number of influencers and public figures to visit IKN. Influencers and public figures witnessed for themselves the development of IKN development which continues to run well.
