JAKARTA - Residents of the Gaza Strip, Palestine have experienced an increase in disease and skin infections due to limited cleanliness caused by the war which has killed 39,363 people.

The United Nations Agency for Assistance and Work for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) said families in Gaza had very limited access to clean water, cleaning products, and cleaning equipment, which led to an increase in skin diseases and infections.

"Families in Gaza live in inhumane conditions, with minimal access to water and sanitation leading to an increase in skin and disease infections," the UN agency tweeted at X, as reported by IRNA July 30.

"Gaza needs more humanitarian access to bring in fuel regularly for clean water, cleaning equipment and cleaning including soap," the agency added.

Earlier, UNRWA Head Philipe Lazzarini said that currently only 14 percent of Gaza's territory was not under orders of Israeli evacuation.

"Every day, Israeli authorities issue these commands that force people to flee, create chaos and panic," he tweeted on X.

"Often times, people only have a few hours to pack whatever they can and start everything from scratch, mostly on foot or on awak carriage that is packed with stuffy for those who can afford it," he wrote.

Almost everyone in Gaza has been affected by these orders. Many have been forced to flee on average once a month since the war began nine months ago, he said in his post adding, "people continue to seek safety: the most valuable, the least. This evacuation tactic only brings more misery, fear, and suffering to people who have nothing to do with this war."

He said nearly all of Gaza's population had been affected by this order and many of them were forced to move at least once a month since the start of the war in Gaza on October 7, 2023.

Separately, Gaza's medical sources on Monday confirmed that at least 39 Gazans were killed and and and 93 others injured as a result of Israeli attacks in the past 24 hours, quoted from WAFA.

Medical authorities also confirmed that the death toll from Israeli attacks reached 39,363 people and 90,923 others were injured. The majority of victims were women and children.
