French Foreigner Dies On Walur Beach, West Coast Of Lampung

JAKARTA - A foreign national (WNA) from France named Leo Bauthamy was found dead after drowning in the waters of Walur Beach, Pekon (Village) Walur, South Krui District, West Coast Regency, Lampung.

Head of Public Relations of the West Coast Police, Ipda Kasiyono, said that the foreigner from France who drowned was found at around 14.02 WIB in a state of death.

"The victim was evacuated and taken to the nearest Puskesmas, namely the Central Coast for further identification," said Ipda Kasiyono, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 29.

He said the incident began when the foreigner was declared drowned on Sunday (28/7), around 13.00 WIB.

"Leo Bauthamy, 22 years old, left his stay at Villa Mios Bungalows on a red and black Honda Beat motorcycle," he said.

The victim carried archery equipment and dives, but did not carry a surfboard.

Before leaving, the victim said goodbye to his colleague, Daniel Ari, and said that he would fish at Walur Beach. "On the same day, at around 19.00 WIB, a witness named Sepriadi saw a Honda Beat motorbike on the seaside without the owner. For fear of being lost," he said.

Due to this incident, the police immediately took steps by visiting the scene.

"Leo Bauthamy has a dyslectic condition and has an injury to his thigh, then today at around 14:02 WIB the victim was found dead and then evacuated by the team to the central coastal health center for identification," he said.
