Celebrity From Medan Dies, Allegedly After Suctioning Fat At Depok Beauty Clinic

A female celebrity from Medan, North Sumatra, Ella Nanda Sari Hasibuan (30) died allegedly after carrying out a fat-suction operation at a beauty clinic in the Beji area, Depok, West Java, last Monday, July 22.

Depok Metro Police Chief Kombes Arya Perdana confirmed the incident. Currently, his party is investigating the cause of death of the victim by examining a number of witnesses.

"Until now, we have examined 2 witnesses, we have interrogated two witnesses, we have obtained information that something happened," Arya told reporters, Monday, July 29.

"(The one being examined) is the doctor and the husband of the clinic owner," he continued.

Arya admitted that he could not confirm the cause of the celebgram's death because an autopsy had to be carried out on the victim.

"We still need further investigation because the only thing that can determine whether he died is an autopsy and only a doctor. I can't say where he died because of what, because we haven't received the information from the doctor. And we haven't conducted an autopsy on the victim, because the victim has now been buried," he said.

Regarding the exhumation of the victim's body that has been buried in Medan, it has not been confirmed.

"Yes, we will see in the future this is possible. If the case continues, we will certainly carry out an autopsy, it is mandatory. Because of what people died because of what, we must know that the cause is the basis for our investigation," he concluded.
