Asking For Permit To Operate At Jakarta Provincial Government, Dozens Of Karaoke Places Have Not Passed The Health Protocol Selection

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has opened a tap for karaoke businesses to resume operations. However, each karaoke venue must propose an operational mechanism by implementing health protocols.

Head of the Tourism Industry Division of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Bambang Ismadi said, currently there are dozens of karaoke places that have submitted applications.

"A total of 58 karaoke businesses have submitted applications. 22 businesses are being reviewed (implementation of their health protocols)," said Bambang when contacted, Monday, March 22.

So far, said Bambang, the dozens of karaoke places that have applied have not received a license to open their business. The proposal containing the karaoke business was returned.

"They were asked to make a revision. In terms of tightening the health protocol, it is incomplete. So, they cannot operate yet," he said.

Furthermore, Bambang said that if there is a karaoke business that has passed the health protocol in its operational place, they also still have to wait for the green light from the Jakarta Provincial Government to open their business.

"So now the karaoke place must be ready according to strict health protocols. If it is deemed ready, we will report it to the leadership later," he said.

It is known that DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan is preparing to open a karaoke business in the capital. This is stated in the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Circular Number 64/SE/2021 concerning Preparations for the Reopening of Karaoke Businesses in DKI Jakarta Province.

Although the discourse of opening a karaoke place to be opened has emerged, the Head of the Tourism Industry Division of DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf), Bambang Ismadi, said that it is not that easy for karaoke management to open their business premises. Every karaoke place must apply for a license describing the mechanism for implementing the health protocol.

"Karaoke places are being prepared to open. Those who want to open must first strictly submit their health protocol," said Bambang.

So, when the permits for the opening of a karaoke place are opened, all business establishments are ready with the implementation of the protocol. "It is characterized by seeing the preparation and readiness of karaoke business managers," he said.
