The fire in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan) scorched one unit of a basic food kiosk and three houses. The building, which was engulfed by the red rooster, on average, was wooden.

Head of the Prevention and Preparedness Division of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Palangka Raya City, Heri Fauzi, said the incident occurred at around 07.44 WIB on Jalan Tjilik Riwut Km 10 Petuk Katimpun Village, Jekan Raya District.

"Information gathered in the field, the cause of the fire was a short circuit in a fan located in a bedroom from one of the buildings," said Heri Fauzi, Sunday, July 28, as quoted by Antara.

Heri said that in this incident there were no casualties.

He said that his party who received reports from the public regarding the incident immediately moved and headed to the scene. At that time, a number of self-karrel firefighters and government-owned officers also immediately worked hand in hand to extinguish the flames that scorched the building.

Luckily, by being surrounded by a number of firefighters who were in the field, the flames were finally extinguished within more than an hour.

"Officers in the field put out the fire until it was completely extinguished, so that the flames would not appear again. All personnel also returned to their health and none of them were affected by any incident," he explained.

From that incident, continued Heri Fauzi, there were three heads of families affected by the incident and seven people in number. As for the loss from the incident, approximately Rp. 450 million.

"The building of the burning construction is all made of wood. The owner of the building is safe," he said.

Based on observations in the field, with this incident, the traffic flow on Jalan Tjilik Riwut Km 10 was disrupted. However, the fire has been extinguished, the flow has returned smoothly like all.
