The East Jakarta City Government (Jaktim) plans to repair damaged road construction and connecting channels (Phb) along Al Akhyar Kayu Tinggi Street, East Cakung Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta.
The Mayor (Walkot) of East Jakarta, M. Anwar, asked the Water Resources Sub-Department (SDA Sub-Department) and the East Jakarta Highways Sub-dept. (BM Sub-dept.) to check the condition of the roads and waterways experiencing abrasion.
"This is access for residents, there needs to be improvement. I ask the SDA and Bina Marga Sub-Department to check and repair the canals and roads," Anwar said when confirmed, Sunday, July 28.
According to him, the repairs were made by making a new sheet pile on the Phb Kayu Tinggi channel. The construction of a new sheet pile with a height of 1 meter and road repairs that have experienced abrasion.
"We provide a sense of security for residents and even students, where along this road there are educational institutions or schools," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of RW 03 Cakung Timur Village, Mahsudi, said that his party appreciated the quick steps from the East Jakarta City Government regarding the improvement of public facilities.
"This is not only happy but an answer for the residents, so there is no disaster for the residents," he said.
