Commemorating Kudatuli, PDIP Holds Apple In Solo To Prepare Troops Ahead Of The Pilwakot

SOLO-The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) heated its political engine by holding a commemoration of the two-July Riots (Kudatuli) at the Solo Stadium yard, Central Java, on Saturday, July 27. This event also includes an apple attended by PDIP task forces.

The commander of the Cakra Buana National Task Force, Komarudin Watubun, explained that the apple was aimed at preparing troops for the regional elections, especially the Solo Mayor Election (Pilwakot) which will take place on November 27, 2024.

This Apple was held to reheat the political engine ahead of the regional elections. Troops must be alerted to face the direct elections in November," Watubun said.

He added that although the turbulence of previous elections made troops feel tired, the spirit of struggle must be maintained. Watubun also emphasized the importance of maintaining the spirit of reform that has opened opportunities for various levels of society to participate in the government. Solo is one of the main focuses in the Kudatuli commemoration as an anticipatory measure against the possibility of political interference in the 2024 Pilkada. Watubun emphasized the importance of troop readiness to deal with potential political interference.
