Bogor Police Chief AKBPRio Wahyu Anggoro revealed that a fake Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) employee with the initials YS extorted the state civil apparatus of the Bogor Regency Government, West Java, up to Rp700 million.

The extortion incident happened to several state civil servants (ASN) from the Bogor Regency Education Office. Currently, the victims are still undergoing examination as witnesses.
Rio explained that the Rp700 million worth of money was handed over to YS three times since 2023.
In January, Rp350 million was handed over at the Bogor Regency Education Office, then, in April 2024, Rp50 million was handed over again in the Cibinong area, and on April 3, 2024, the victim again handed over Rp300 million to YS at the Gunungputri Rest Area.
From the extortion incident against the Bogor Regency Government ASN, the police confiscated Rp300 million in cash, two luxury cars belonging to white Porsche suspects numbered B 1556 XD and white Toyota Alphard with police number F 1398 CE, two cell phones, and two BCA savings books.
"One Porsche car along with STNK and a car key related to yesterday's incident at 13.30 WIB, then one Alphard car whose connection was occurred in early January 2023," said Rio.
The YS suspect, who works as a contractor, is threatened with being charged with Articles 368 and 378 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of nine years in prison.
Previously, on Thursday (25/7) afternoon, the KPK said that it arrested a man with the initials YS on suspicion of extortion of officials within the Bogor Regency Government.
"The team secured the person in question at a restaurant in Bogor Regency at around 13.30 WIB," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika at the KPK's Red and White building, South Jakarta, Thursday (25/7).
On Thursday morning, the KPK received a report regarding a person with the initials YS who claimed to be a KPK employee and extorted an official within the Bogor Regency Government. The official admitted that YS asked for some money.
