French Sports Minister Amerie Oudéa-Castera said that until now her party still does not know the perpetrators and the motive for the arson of the French high-speed rail network.
Speaking to Sky News, Oudéa-Castera said the attack could be called "large-scale sabotage" and possibly coordinated.
Earlier, French Transport Minister Patrice Vergriete criticized the sabotage attempt that caused the operation of the French high-speed train to be temporarily suspended.
He said this attack had an impact on many travelers to Paris to see firsthand the 2024 Olympics.
"I strongly condemn this criminal act that would jeopardize the departure of many people to France on vacation," he said, quoted by NBC News, Friday, July 26.
