After The KPK Search In Semarang, The Mayor Of Mbak Ita Returned To The DPRD Plenary Meeting

JATENG - Semarang Mayor (Walkot) Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu was again seen attending a plenary meeting at the Semarang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Building, Friday, July 26.

The plenary meeting was the second time the local DPRD had held a search conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the two were attended by Ita, Hevearita's nickname.

The previous plenary meeting was held last Monday, July 22, and several activities were attended by the Mayor of Semarang the next day, Tuesday, July 23, one of which was at the KRMT Wongsonegoro Hospital.

Met after the meeting, Ita said that regional revenue in 2024 is planned to be adjusted. The change in the APBD has increased from IDR 5.231 trillion to IDR 5.736 trillion, or an increase of 9.64 percent of IDR 504 billion.

"The receipt of financing for the 2024 APBD decreased by Rp7 billion, then the target of financing expenditure remained at Rp67 billion. Of course, in the last year, we have indeed adjusted it to our friends and the legislature regarding the completion of the vision and mission," he said.

In the discussion of the revised APBD, he said, there were several categories of concern from the Semarang City Government, including infrastructure, poverty, the pace of economic growth, and the unemployment rate.

In addition, Ita is also grateful that there are assistance from the central government, such as the assistance of the Citywide Inclusive Development Development or development of city-scale sanitation through the Ministry of PUPR with funding for the Asia Development Bank (ADB) in the context of processing domestic waste water.

"The Semarang City Government received Rp3.1 trillion. The money is for the construction of seven work packages until 2030. However, the Ministry of PUPR has committed to completion in 2029," he said.

Meanwhile, Assistant for Economics, Development and People's Welfare of the Semarang City Secretariat, Hernowo Budi Luhur, said that the Mayor of Semarang was scheduled to carry out activities as usual.

"Yes, it was present (the plenary meeting, ed.). If no other agenda collides, God willing, it will be present (according to the agenda)," he said.

On the series of RI's 79th Anniversary (HUT) in Semarang, Ita was still scheduled to attend, such as the Ki Ageng Pandanaran Art Festival in Semarang Old Town on Saturday 27 July, including the morning at the Tomb of Ki Ageng Pandanaran.

"Tomorrow morning (July 26) is scheduled at Ki Ageng Pandanaran's grave. The afternoon is in Kota Lama," he said.

It is known that KPK investigators searched a number of regional apparatus agencies and organizations (OPD) within the Semarang City Government, since last Wednesday, July 17.

The search was carried out by KPK investigators at a number of OPD Semarang City Government offices, both in the City Hall complex and Pandanaran Building.

Not only searching, KPK investigators also asked for information from a number of OPD leaders of the Semarang City Government.

The KPK stated that the search was related to the handling of three alleged corruption cases within the Semarang City Government.

The three alleged corruption cases include the procurement of goods and services within the Semarang City Government in 2023 - 2024, the alleged extortion of civil servants for incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area, as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities in 2023 - 2024.

KPK investigators have also named a number of parties as suspects in the case. However, it has not provided further information regarding the identities of the parties.

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto said four people had been prevented from traveling abroad in connection with the investigation of the alleged corruption case.

The four people who were prohibited from traveling abroad, consisting of two people came from state officials and the rest were private parties.
