PPATK: West Java To Karawaci Most Children Involved In Online Gambling

JAKARTA - The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) revealed data on provinces and cities with the highest value of online gambling transactions for children in Indonesia.

From the data found, West Java became the province in the country with the highest transaction value with a figure of Rp49.8 billion.

"The data on children transacting online gambling based on the province is West Java, the highest. There are 41 thousand children whose transaction rates are Rp49.8 billion, the number of transactions is up to Rp459 thousand per transaction," said PPATK Chairman Ivan Yustiavandana at the KPAI Office, Friday, July 26.

If it is more congested, West Jakarta is said to be an administrative city with the highest value of children's online gambling transactions

It was recorded that 4,300 children were exposed with a transaction value of more than Rp9 billion. The figure per transaction reached Rp68 thousand.

Meanwhile, at the sub-district level, Ivan said Cengkareng was the highest area with more than a thousand children involved in online gambling.

However, when viewed from the highest transaction value at the sub-district level, namely Karawaci, Tangerang, which reached IDR 5 billion.

"The number of deposits that were previously in Cengkareng has 14 thousand transactions, in Karawaci there are 7 thousand," said Ivan.
