Free Nutrition Food Trial, Gibran Receives Menu And Fees Input Will Be Adjusted

SOLO - President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka said he had received a lot of input after several trials of free nutritious food.

This was said by Giban when reviewing the free nutritious food trial in Solo, Central Java, Friday, July 26, 2024.

"Yesterday we tested it in Sentul, this is in Solo to review the trial as well," he said at the Tugu Elementary School.

In the free nutritious meal, the menu given to students is rice, vegetables, chicken, bananas, and milk.

During the trial, his party was open to input from various parties.

"We will receive a lot of input and evaluations from teachers, parents, committees, nutritionists. This is still a trial process, there must be a lot of input and evaluation," he said.

He said the budget for each portion of the food was Rp. 14,900. This budget is up to the time of trial in Sentul.

"The fee is between Rp. 15,000, there is no budget of Rp. 7,500. Once again for the younger generation we must not be stingy," he said.

However, it is possible that the cost of a free nutritious meal in each portion is different at each location.

"Maybe each city has a different cost, it doesn't matter. There are adjustments, replaced with a commodity-dependent menu," he said.

Meanwhile, in the meantime trials will be carried out in a number of areas. Apart from Sentul and Solo, several other areas include Hambalang and Surabaya.

"We will add more 3T areas in the near future, because those in Solo and Sentul will run smoothly, we will add other areas," he said.

He said the activity was supported by Gojek.

"Those who cook Gojek merchants are from all MSMEs. Many are affected by this activity," he said.

On the same occasion, the Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakosa, appreciated the choice of Solo as a location for the free nutritious trial.

"Because he was the Mayor of Surakarta yesterday, Surakarta is a priority for testing quality food in schools," he said.

He said the program was good for the next generation of the nation.

"If this can be carried out throughout Indonesia, then our 2045 demographic bonus is not too much to prepare children to be more physically and mentally healthy," he said.
