KIM Boasts Of Defeating Anies In Jakarta, Adian Napitupulu PDIP: We Are Uninvolved

BOGOR - Chairman of the PDI Perjuangan National Election Winning Team Adian Napitupulu admitted that his party was not affected by the statement by the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) which will fight Anies Baswedan in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada. "We will not be influenced by KIM's statement. We will not be influenced by anyone's statement," said Adian in Bogor, West Java, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, July 23. He also emphasized that the party bearing the symbol of the white-nosed bull would not be affected by any party. Adian said that PDIP would only be affected by the people's statement asking to carry certain figures in the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada. " KIM's request will not affect us, but if the people's request, we will definitely follow it," he said. Previously, the Forward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) which brought Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election claimed to be ready to face Anies Baswedan in the 2024 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election. Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani joked about Prabowo Subianto winning in Jakarta in the 2024 presidential election. "No (worries). Just Wong Pak Prabowo in Jakarta won against Anies," added Muzani in Senayan, Jakarta, Monday. Muzani ensured that KIM would unite in Jakarta and West Java for the 2024 Pilkada. According to him, the final decision on West Java and Jakarta is almost complete. However, Muzani has not revealed the figure that KIM will carry in the two regions. He opened up the opportunity for a decision to be submitted ahead of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day on August 17. "It can be last minute, it can be before the 17's," he concluded.
