The LRT Jakarta Flyover At Velodrome Station To Rawamangun Begins To Connect

JAKARTA - PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) revealed the progress of the 1B Velodrome-Manggarai phase of the Jakarta LRT construction. Currently, the construction reaches 22.4 percent per week of the 24th development.

Currently, the progress of the main work is taking place for the upper structure, especially in the first 1 kilometer. Dian Takdir, Director of Engineering and Development Jakpro said the elevated rail from Velodrome Station to Rawamangun Station began to connect.

"Viaduct or the main flyover of the Jakarta LRT train is almost fully connected at the first 1 km from the existing station, Velodrome Station to Rawamangun Station, which is the first station towards Manggarai for the 1B phase of the Jakarta LRT Project," said Dian in his statement, Monday, July 22.

The progress at the first 1 kilometer, according to Dian, is a priority due to the planned milestone test track in September 2024.

A total of 44 pier points or columns have been established and 41 pier heads or column heads have been installed.

"Slab decks or floor plates as well as parapets or walls from viaduct have been made on girders that are fit to bear the burden," he said.

The 1B phase Jakarta LRT has a 4.6 kilometer line span which has 5 stations, namely Rawamangun Youth Station, BPKP Scout Station, Matraman Station Scout Market Station, and Manggarai Station.

So far, as many as 6 LRT stations have operated with a length of 5.2 kilometers in phase 1, namely Pegangsaan Dua, North Boulevard Station, South Boulevard Station, Pulomas Station, Equestrian Station, and Velodrome Station.

So, if phase 1B has been built, the Jakarta LRT has a route length of 12.2 kilometers with 11 stations ranging from Pegangsaan Dua Station to Manggarai Station. It is estimated that the journey from Pegangsaan Dua to Manggarai can be reached for 26 minutes.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government targets the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT to be completely completed for three years until August 2026. By 2024, it is targeted that the LRT has been built to the Scout Station.
