JAYAPURA - TNI and Polri held an troop rally in the context of securing the visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo to Papua to attend the commemoration of National Children's Day (HAN). President Joko Widodo will open the 40th HAN commemoration peak event centered at Istora Papua Bangkit, Jayapura Regency, Tuesday 23 July 2024. Danrem 172/Praja Wira Yakti Brigadier General Dedi Hardono said the personnel prepared for presidential security with First Lady Iriana Jokowi as many as 4,000 people. "Security will be carried out at a number of noble points from Sentani Airport to the venue," said Dedi, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 21. According to Hardono, the security of the president and the first lady must be fully guarded so that the entire series of activities of the HAN 2024 celebration can run in an orderly and smoothly.
