JAKARTA - Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the DKI Jakarta National Awakening Party (PKB) Hasbiallah Ilyas revealed the reason why the PKB DPP had not officially issued a nomination recommendation to Anies Baswedan.
Hasbi admitted that PKB has not been able to determine who will be paired with Anies as a candidate for deputy governor of DKI Jakarta.

"How do we want to issue recommendations, the deputy people (cawagub) don't know yet," said Hasbi at the DKI Jakarta PKB DPW Office, East Jakarta, Sunday, July 21.
Hasbi emphasized that the DPP PKB Pilkada Decree will officially announce the inauguration of Anies if he finds a cawagub that fits the internal criteria of the party and the coalition to be formed.
"PKB is okay, (I want to support) Mr. Anies. But PKB can't carry it alone and there must be representatives. Recommendations are one package," said Hasbi.
"The PKB cannot say that its deputy must be A or B. Must discuss with prospective PKB coalitions later," he added.

PKS also offered the name of the Deputy Chairperson of the PKS Syuro Council, Sohibul Iman, as the deputy governor of Anies' companion.
