KPK Will Summon Semarang Mayor Mbak Ita After Conducting Search

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the Mayor of Semarang Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu or Mbak Ita would be summoned after investigators searched a number of locations. This effort was made to investigate allegations of corruption within the Semarang City Government (Pemkot), Central Java.

"Of course it will be questioned," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, July 19.

Even so, Tessa could not specify when Ita would be called. "It can't be said yet," he said.

"Again, because activities or activities (search, red) are still ongoing in Semarang City, so we are both waiting," continued the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Previously reported, the KPK stated that there were three allegations of corruption within the Semarang City Government that were being handled. The details are the procurement of goods or services within the Semarang City Government from 2023 to 2024, the alleged extortion of civil servants for incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities from 2023 to 2024. There have been four people who have been prevented from leaving the country for the first six months. The details are two state administrators while the rest are private.
