Investigating Money Laundering, KPK Plans To Call Again Grandson SYL Who Is Sick

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to recall Andi Tenri Bilang Radisyah who was absent from being summoned by investigators because he was sick on Tuesday, July 16.

His testimony as a witness was needed to investigate the alleged money laundering crime (TPPU) that ensnared his grandfather, former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

"There will be a rescheduling or rescheduling," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters quoted on Friday, July 19.

Tessa said Andi Tenri's statement was needed to investigate Syahrul's assets which were allegedly the result of corruption. "(But, red) there is no further information on the summons, ed)," said a spokesman with the investigator's background.

Meanwhile, the anti-corruption commission has asked for information from Syahrul's son, Indira Chunda Thita, who is a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the NasDem Party faction.

From the examination, Tessa said, investigators were looking for assets belonging to Syahrul and his family which were allegedly obtained from corruption.

"Investigated regarding the ownership of SYL's assets and his family," he said.

Previously reported, former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo was charged as a suspect in the alleged crime of money laundering (TPPU).

This step was taken after the development of cases of extortion and receipt of gratuities that had been convicted by the Jakarta Corruption Court. In this case, the anti-corruption commission has confiscated a number of assets that Syahrul allegedly bought with money from corruption. One of them is a white Mitsubishi Sport Dakar car hidden in an empty land in the Makassar area, South Sulawesi.
