Sudaryono Doesn't Candidate Himself In Central Java Governor Election After Becoming Deputy Minister

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Central Java Gerindra DPD, Sudaryono, who has just been appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture by President Joko Widodo, emphasized that he will not run for governor in the Central Java gubernatorial election.

"Of course, with this new assignment for the Central Java Pilkada, I have received instructions not to run in the Central Java Pilkada," said Sudaryono when met after the inauguration of the deputy minister at the Jakarta Presidential Palace, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 18.

Sudaryono admitted that he received instructions not to run in the Central Java Pilkada after being appointed as Deputy Minister of Agriculture.

He emphasized that he would focus more on helping the Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman with a new assignment under the administration of President Joko Widodo-Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

According to him, the burden of his duties as Deputy Minister of Agriculture was not light, so he established himself to be canceled as a governor in the Central Java gubernatorial election.

"The burden of his duties is also not light, so for the nomination of the governor with this inauguration, I declare, I do not, the Gerindra Party does not carry me, and I am not campaigning for the governor anymore," said Sudaryono.

When asked about the candidate who deserved to run in the Central Java gubernatorial election, Sudaryono, known as Mas Dar, said that the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) would jointly nominate a candidate for governor.

Mas Dar also said that the Gerindra Party and KIM's decision to choose the names of the candidates for governor and deputy governor who were champions in the Central Java gubernatorial election would soon be.

"What kind of decision is it? I think we have to wait, so it won't take long before a month to look like his name," said Sudaryono.
