KPK Opens Opportunities To Apply The Prone Article After Examining Witnesses In The Harun Masiku Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has the opportunity to apply Article 21 of the Anti-Corruption Law in the Harun Masiku case. This step was taken after investigators examined Dona Berisa, who is Saeful Bahri's ex-wife, the briber of former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan.

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika said Dona was questioned today, Thursday, July 18. He was questioned as a witness.

"Confirmation of witness investigators is present (fulfilling the summons, ed)," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

During the examination, investigators explored several things related to the Harun Masiku case, which is still at large. In addition to finding out his whereabouts, continued Tessa, the anti-corruption commission also measures opportunities for new investigations by applying the article on obstruction of justice.

"Investigators are investigating related to HM's knowledge of the difference and the opportunity to open a new investigation related to the alleged obstruction of justice," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

As previously reported, Harun Masiku became a fugitive after being named a suspect in giving bribes to former KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to serve as a member of the DPR through interim shifts (PAW).

The investigators have now examined four witnesses to find their whereabouts. One of them is PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto on Monday, June 10.
