PKB Predicts That The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election Will Be Followed By Two Pairs Of Candidates

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) predicts that the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada will be followed by two pairs of candidates for governor and deputy governor candidate.

This was conveyed by the Deputy of PKB, Jazilul Fawaid, responding to the question of whether his party was waiting for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) first to declare Anies Baswedan as the official Jakarta cagub.

Jazilul reminded that the political dynamics for the Jakarta Pilkada are still very fluid. So that PKB is still waiting for developments from the results of communication to various political parties.

"Yes, everything is still normal, that's why until now all the parties in DKI are still disbursed, for example PKS, which has been said to be a declaration, is not enough. But my guess is that in DKI the head to head, only two pairs," said Jazilul, Wednesday, July 17.

However, Jazilul has not been able to confirm whether the two candidate pairs are Anies and the cagub from KIM or not.

"No, it's not like that, it's not like that. Not yet, but my guess is that in DKI there will be a head to head. Because there will be a group of forces," said Jazilul.

When asked about Anies' opportunity to head to head with Ridwan Kamil, Jazilul was reluctant to confirm. According to him, the strong candidate as Anies' rival has not yet been seen.

"Until today there has been no opponent. (Ridwan Kamil) hasn't yet. RK is in West Java. Is it behind RK in Jakarta Anies in West Java? The dynamics is still fluid," he said.
