PAN Looked Forward In Central Java Gubernatorial Election, Sudaryono: We Just Flow

JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) is eyeing the chairman of the Central Java Gerindra Party DPD, Sudaryono, to be promoted as a Candidate for Governor of Central Java.

Sudaryono was considered to have a good performance when he led the Central Java Regional Campaign Team (TKD) in winning Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election.

This performance is the basis for PAN assessing that Sudaryono deserves to be promoted in the 2024 Central Java Governor Election.

Receiving support from PAN did not necessarily make Sudaryono proud. Sudaryono left it entirely to the decision of party leaders in Jakarta.

"We just flow, whatever we try. I try to offer myself, introduce myself to the people, we see the response of the community. I think the leadership will judge whether it is feasible or not feasible," said Sudaryono in Semarang, Central Java, Wednesday, July 17.

Sudaryono emphasized that he did not have the authority to determine the Candidate for Governor of Central Java 2024. As Chairman of the Central Java Gerindra Party DPD, Sudaryono was given the task of filtering out candidates for regional head candidates who were netted from the district or city level.

"I am in Gerindra waiting for directions and decisions from the Center. Because the recommendations are indeed being netted at the district/city level, filtered in the province. But the decision is in the Center," said Sudaryono.

As is known, PAN, who initially wanted to carry the Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, as the Cagub of Central Java 2024, suddenly looked at Sudaryono. Secretary General of PAN, Eddy Soeparno, revealed the current situation of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition or KIM seeing the dynamics of the 2024 Central Java Gubernatorial Election.

Eddy said Sudaryono had an open opportunity to be promoted as a Central Java Cagub.

"Mas Sudaryono, I think he has a good chance. Mas Sudaryono also has a good performance as Chairman of the Central Java TKD. So I think now all opportunities are open," said Eddy to reporters at the Parliament Complex recently.

Eddy emphasized that PAN respects Gerindra who wants to carry internal cadres forward in the Central Java gubernatorial election.

"All names that have the opportunity, submitted by KIM's friends, will be considered. I understand Gerindra's friends will encourage Pak Sudaryono," explained Eddy.

According to Eddy, the final decision on which KIM will be promoted will be taken in the consultation and break-up process with the general chairmen of the coalition parties.

"If it turns out that friends in the coalition decide on A or person B, then we beat him. Of course that's something we need to consider," he said.
