PDIP Predictions For The Jakarta Pilkada Followed By 3 Pasang Cagub-Cawagub

PDIP politician Deddy Yevri Sitorus predicts that the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada will be followed by three pairs of candidates for governor and deputy governor candidate (cawagub). The three candidate pairs come from the axis of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM), PDIP and PKB, as well as PKS.

"The potential is three candidates. When it comes to the composition of the seats. The first is KIM, one, right. PKS can carry its own. Then PDI-P can with PKB. There are three pairs of candidates. Right?," said Deddy Yevri to reporters, Tuesday, July 16.

Meanwhile, according to Deddy, it is possible that there are two to three pairs of candidates. However, there could also be one candidate pair who is not competent, aka checking.

"There are many political scenarios. First, there can be two pairs of candidates, then three pairs of candidates. Or the third one has one pair of candidates, there is one candidate for checking. Those are three scenarios that seem to be in Jakarta today," he said.

"So so that you don't fight empty cities, there are candidates for checking like that," continued the chairman of the PDIP DPP.

Deddy also highlighted the PKS seat which was not enough to carry the Paslon itself. If PKS does not get a coalition friend, then it is possible that the Jakarta Pilkada will only be followed by two Paslons. Except, there are independent Paslons who register.

"Is it still lacking? Is there an independent candidate? If it's not there, it means two pairs of candidates," he said.

However, the DPR member has not been able to confirm whether the Jakarta Pilkada contestation will take place head to head or other scenarios. Because he said, his party had not yet determined candidates and coalitions.

"There may be only two because we see the configuration of the chair. But we don't know if suddenly there is an extension to be independent, there is one in. This is a very fluid politics. For DKI, Gerinda and Golkar are still unclear. So it is still possible for Golkar, for example, not to join KIM," he explained.

"There is nothing they have final recommendations for. Because it sounds like Mr. Ridwan Kamil will move him to West Java. We don't know what the last round will be like," concluded Deddy.
