Police Chief Promises To Accelerate Handling Of Cases Of Police Officers Pregnant With Women Outside Of Marriage

East Lombok Police Chief AKBP Hariyanto pays attention to the handling of the case of a member with the rank of Brigadier with the initials MN who is suspected of impregnating a woman with the initials WO from the results of an extra-wedding love relationship.

The East Lombok Police Chief said that his party would take firm action against these members if the results of the examination stated that they were proven to have violated the discipline and code of ethics of the Police.

"So, we have followed up this case. Now it is still under investigation. We will accelerate the process (handling)," said AKBP Hariyanto.

Head of the Professional and Security Section (Propam) of the East Lombok Police, AKP Arif Budiman, also conveyed the follow-up to the delegation of cases from the Propam Division of the NTB Police.

"For now, the East Lombok Police Propam Section accreditor is in the preparation stage for the filing which begins with the issuance of a police report," said Arif.

In addition, Propam also asked for opinions and legal advice from the Legal Division (Bidkum) of the NTB Police. If the results of the bidkum have been received, they will be followed up with a proposal to form the Police Code of Ethics Commission as a completeness of trial needs.

Regarding the reported party, Arif emphasized that the person concerned is now under direct monitoring from the East Lombok Police Chief.

"So, the person concerned cannot go anywhere until the ethics trial process is carried out," he said.

Brigadier MN is a member on duty at the East Lombok Police Detention and Evidence Care Unit (Tahti). He is said to be still carrying out his duties as usual until the ethics trial process takes place.

Brigadier MN was initially reported by WO to the Propam Division of the NTB Police. After the title and increasing the status of case handling to the investigation stage, the NTB Police transferred the case to the East Lombok Police.

The consideration of the delegation saw the area of duty of Brigadier MN with the status of the East Lombok Police Chief as the superior who had the right to punish (village).
