Thousands Of Riders Violate The Rules On The First Day Of Operation Obedient To Jaya 2024, Most Don't Use SNI Helmets

Polda Metro Jaya recorded 5,301 motorists violating traffic rules on the first day of the 2024 Patuh Jaya Operation. The most violations were not wearing helmets according to standards.

"The highest violation committed by motorists in 2024 is not wearing helmets according to that standard, there are 702 violators," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Tuesday, July 16.

The second most types of violations were against the flow. It was recorded that there were 617 motorists who violated the rule.

"Then the highest four wheels were violations of the markings and shoulder of the road, there were 109 violators," he said.

Regarding prosecution, it was said, there were 2,971 motorists who were prosecuted through ETLE. Then, the officers also reprimanded 2,060 motorists who violated it.

"Preemptive activities, appeals, increased education, there was counseling on the distribution of the installation of lifet pamphlets, there were 2,979 counseling and distribution activities," said Ade.

Meanwhile, Operation Patuh Jaya 2024 will be carried out for two weeks starting from July 15 to July 28.

In the implementation of Operation Patuh Jaya 2024, there are 14 types of violations that will be a priority for prosecution. The details;

1. violation against the current.

2. Driving under the influence of alcohol.

3. Using a cell phone while driving.

4. Not wearing a SNI helmet.

5. Not wearing a safety belt.

6. Exceed the speed limit.

7. Underage driving or not having a driver's license.

9. Four-wheeled vehicles or more do not meet roadworthy.

10. Vehicle violations are not equipped with STNK.

11. Violating the road markings.

12. Installing rotators and sirens is not intended.

13. Using a fake number plate or TNKB.
