Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani revealed a number of candidates for regional head who will be promoted by his party in the upcoming 2024 Pilkada.

The decision regarding the names has gone through a survey, deepening and approval of the General Chair of Gerindra, Prabowo Subianto.

"Pak Prabowo also always hears what community leaders, religious leaders, professional figures and regional figures say about who deserves to lead as governor candidates, deputy governors, deputy regents and mayors and deputy mayors," said Muzani, Tuesday, July 16.

Prabowo, he continued, also considered the internal views and parties of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM). Therefore, it was decided for the candidate for governor and deputy governor candidate who ran in the Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Pilkada, namely the Ahmad Ali-Abdul Karim Al Jufri pair.

"Then East Java, as you know with our gubernatorial candidate, is Hj. Khofifah Indar Parawansa with his deputy brother Dr. H. Emil Dardak," said Muzani.

As for the Banten Pilkada, Gerindra carried the Andra-Soni-Dimyati Natakusumah pair. For the West Sumatra Pilkada, Gerindra supports Vasco Husaini as a candidate for deputy governor.

"North Sumatra Pak Prabowo has taken a decision, namely brother Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution with his deputy brother, Surya," explained Muzani.

Then for the East Kalimantan Pilkada, Gerindra carries Rudi Masud-Seno Adji. The Riau Pilkada supports the pair M. Nasir-M.Wardan. For the Bangka Belitung Islands Pilkada, the pair Erzaldi Rosman Johan-Yuri Kemal Fadlullah.

"Furthermore is West Nusa Tenggara, the candidate for governor decided by Pak Prabowo is Lalu Muhammad Iqbal with the representative Indah Damayanti Putri. Then South Kalimantan, the decision is that the candidate for governor is Raudhatul Jannah with the representative Rosaini Himawan Nugraha," said Muzani.

In the North Kalimantan Pilkada, Prabowo has taken the decision to carry Zainal Arifin Paliwang and Ingkong Ala as cagub and cawagub pairs. The West Papua Pilkada carries Domingus Mandacan-Muhammad Lakotani.

"Pilkada Lampung, the candidate for governor is Rahmat Mirzani Jausal. North Sulawesi, the candidate for governor is Major General TNI Retired Yulius Selvanus. Southeast Sulawesi, the candidate for governor is Major General TNI Purnawirawan Andi Sumangeruka," said Muzani.

"Those are the names of several candidates for governor and deputy governor who have been decided by the General Chair, the Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees who will advance in the upcoming November 27 Pilkada," he added.
