The DPR's Hajj Angket Special Committee Holds A Initial Meeting Tomorrow

JAKARTA - The Special Committee (Pansus) for Hajj Angket DPR RI will hold its inaugural meeting in the recess period tomorrow, Wednesday, July 17. Member of Commission VIII DPR from the PKS faction, Wisnu Wijaya revealed the agenda of this inaugural meeting to determine the leadership of the Special Committee. "So tomorrow at 13.00 WIB, we will hold the inaugural meeting of the Hajj committee, namely the agenda for the election and the determination of the leadership of the special committee," said Wisnu to reporters, Tuesday, July 16.

Wisnu admitted that he had received approval from the chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, regarding the meeting to form the Hajj Anggat Special Committee in the middle of the DPR's recess. "Mrs. Puan has signed, the minutes have also been published," he said.

Wisnu said the Hajj Anggat Special Committee would elect the chairman and convey developments related to the investigation of alleged violations of the 2024 Hajj implementation. "We are running the progress," said Wisnu. It is known that the DPR RI officially formed a Special Committee (Pansus) for Hajj 2024 consisting of 30 people. The decision was taken in a plenary meeting chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the DPR Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin on Tuesday, July 9. The 30 members of the Hajj committee will later evaluate the implementation of the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage.
