JAKARTA - Operation Patuh Jaya 2024 has only been going on for a day. However, the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya stated that it had sent thousands of warnings to motorists who violated traffic rules.

"The warning 2,000 times, the distribution of traffic safety brochures 2,400 times, and patrols 40 times," said Head of the Ops Section of the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Dermawan Karosekali to VOI, Tuesday, July 16.

Regarding the number of prosecutions in the form of fines that have been carried out for now, it cannot be ascertained. This is because all of them use a digital enforcement pattern or ETLE.

So, to find out the number, you must wait for confirmation from the alleged violators. In addition, the Operation Patuh Jaya 2024 is also said to prioritize education rather than just take action immediately.

"The point is that obedient operations continue to prioritize education to the public so that they remain orderly and safe in traffic," said Karosekali.

Operation Patuh Jaya 2024 will be carried out for two weeks starting from July 15 to July 28.

In the implementation of Operation Patuh Jaya 2024, there are 14 types of violations that will be a priority for prosecution. The details;

1. violation against the current.2. Driving under the influence of alcohol. 3. Using a cell phone while driving. 4. Not wearing a SNI.5 helmet. Not wearing a safety belt.6. Exceeding the speed limit. 7. Underage driving or not having a SIM.8. Riding more than one.9. Four-wheeled vehicles or more do not meet roadworthiness.10. Vehicle violations are not equipped with STNK.11. Violating road markings.12. Installing rotators and sirens is not intended.13. Using a fake number plate or TNKB.14. Illegal parking.
