JAKARTA - Entrepreneur and Golkar politician, Jusuf Hamka, stated that he is ready to run as a deputy governor candidate in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

Jusuf Hamka emphasized that he is ready if later he is truly assigned by the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, to accompany PSI General Chair, Kaesang Pangarep in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"(If) Pak Airlangga is ready, I am (ready) an order. Must be ready," said Jusuf Hamka in the Taman Patra area, Kuningan, Jakarta, Saturday, July 13.

However, the man who is familiarly called Babah Alun was reluctant to comment on the figure of Kaesang who was predicted to be his duet friend in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

According to him, it is better to ask Airlangga about the assessment of Kaesang as the proposer.

When asked about his age that was far apart from Kaesang, Jusuf Hamka admitted that he had no problem. The toll road boss then said that one of the mottos introduced by the Indonesian Education Father, Ki Hajar Dewantara, was to describe his relationship with Kaesang.
