IPDN Gives Kartika Astha Brata Utama Award And Honorary Alumni To Minister Bahlil Lahadalia

JAKARTA - The Institute of Domestic Administration (IPDN) awarded Bintang Kartika Astha Brata Utama and an honorary alumni title to the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Bahlil Lahadalia. This awarding event took place at the IPDN campus, Jatinangor, West Java, on Thursday, July 11. The award was pinned directly by the Chancellor of IPDN, Prof. Hadi Prabowo.

In his remarks, Prof. Hadi stated that this award was given for the achievements and enthusiasm of Minister Bahlil in coordinating investment in technical ministries and creating conducive conditions for investment to advance the Indonesian economy.

"For your achievements and enthusiasm in realizing investment, being a vocal point in coordinating investment in technical ministries, as well as in creating conducive conditions for investment in order to advance the economy, today IPDN will give an award to Mr. Kartika Astha Brata Utama," said Prof Hadi.

Prof. Hadi hopes that IPDN officials can follow the enthusiasm and achievements of Minister Bahlil, because the Prajas will later realize Indonesia's vision and ideals of gold.

The awarding process was accompanied by a public lecture delivered by Bahlil with the theme Tradiational Leadership and National Downstream Strategy towards Indonesia Gold 2045. Total Praja who was physically present at the public lecture was 2,478 people, with details of Praja Utama as many as 1,079 people, Praja Madya 863 people, and Praja Pratama 536 people.

In addition, there were also 255 people present online through zoom consisting of Jakarta Campus, 248 people from West Sumatra Regional Campus, 255 people from West Kalimantan Regional Campus, 115 people from North Sulawesi Regional Campus, 250 people from South Sulawesi Regional Campus, 231 people from West Nusa Tenggara Regional Campus, and 129 people from Papua Regional Campus.

Meanwhile, Minister Bahlil expressed his appreciation to IPDN for being part of the IPDN extended family and emphasized the importance of the role of praja as the heir to the nation's future.

"First, I have to say that not all the nation's children in remote parts of the country were selected and participated in the selection process to enter the IPDN. And not all who took the test were selected," he said.

According to Bahlil, IPDN Praja is the heir to the nation's future to welcome Indonesia gold in 2045. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Ministry of Investment and IPDN Praja-Praja which will later become stakeholders in the regions in maintaining regional economic sovereignty through investment.

"We make so that these Praja brothers maintain economic sovereignty in the regions. We (Ministry of Investment) are tasked with entering investors, your job is to serve. And this is the creation of added value there. If additional value creation occurs there the region will progress," he said.

It is known, apart from Bahlil, the cabinet minister of President Joko Widodo who won the Kartika Astha Brata Utama Star award from IPDN was former Minister of Political, Legal and Security Coordinator Mohammad Mahfud MD, who received the award in 2023.
