Ridwan Kamil After The Golkar Discourse Duet Kaesang-Jusuf Hamka: In West Java Already Experienced, In Jakarta No Problem

JAKARTA - Former Governor of West Java and Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Ridwan Kamil responded to the discourse of his party carrying the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party Kaesang Pangarep with businessman Jusuf Hamka or Babah Alun advancing in the 2024 Jakarta regional elections. "Government to this nation anywhere if I am. If in West Java it is easier, it has experience, the survey results are also good. If needed in Jakarta there is also no problem," said Ridwan Kamil in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, July 12. Since the beginning he had no problem with the assignment for the 2024 regional election because he had experience being a regional head. "I have scientific experience, profession, no problems, but I just remind you of the decision. Of course, it will be in the early 20s due to the registration of regional elections, I forgot, 25 or 26 or what date in August," he said. "So if these days there are still names mentioned, it's only natural because everyone hopes for the best for each region." Kang Emil, as he is known, ensures that he will continue things that have not been completed if assigned to contest the 2024 West Java regional elections. "Some have been completed, some are half cooked, there are new things. Development never stops," he said. Previously, the Golkar Party prepared an internal cadre, namely Jusuf Hamka as the Kaesang pair, if the youngest son of President Joko Widodo decided to run in the 2024 Jakarta regional elections. "To support Kaesang, if he chooses Jakarta, I will prepare Golkar Party cadres who have been poor across the infrastructure, namely Babah Alun," said Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto at the Golkar Party DPP Office, Jakarta, Thursday (11/7). Airlangga explained that his party saw that Jakarta had a huge challenge, namely infrastructure, especially to overcome congestion. Therefore, he prepared Babah Alun to be paired with Kaesang in the Jakarta regional elections later. However, he said that there was still plenty of time to discuss the discourse because registration began on 27-29 August 2024. He said his party was not in a hurry, and would use the survey as a basis, and would be discussed with the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

"There are still two months left, but if that opportunity exists, and Kaesang is ready to advance, the Golkar Party will support it," he said.
