JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia, Achmad Baidowi, denied that his party was in a hurry to revise Law (UU) Number 19 of 2006 concerning the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres). According to Awiek, the revision of the Wantimpres Law is open cumulative which can be discussed at any time according to the urgency. "No one is in a hurry. The preparation of the prolegnas for the discussion of the law is three, one, referring to priority prolegnas, the two cumulatives are open because of the impact of the Constitutional Court's decision (The Constitutional Court, ed)," Awiek told reporters, Friday, July 12. The secretary of the PPP faction of the DPR explained that there are laws that are cumulatively open covering the APBN Law, the Otonomi Formation Law, the International Agreement Law, and the Government Regulation in Lieu of the Law (Perppu). "That is an open cumulative that can be discussed at any time," he explained. Article 23 of Law 12 of 2011 concerning the Law on the Formation of Law (P3), continued Awiek, it was stated that there is a bill that can be discussed and drafted if you pay attention to national urgency.

"Well, this is the national urgency clause that goes there," he said.

Previously, the DPR RI plenary meeting approved the revision of Law (UU) on Amendments to Law Number 19 of 2006 concerning the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) to become a DPR initiative bill. The regulation changed the nomenclature of Wantimpres to the Supreme Advisory Council (DPA). The revision will also regulate the number of DPA members. The nine factions in the DPR RI agreed and gave their views in writing to the DPR leadership in a plenary meeting at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, July 11.
