Golkar Opens Doors For PSI Cadres To Participate In Training To Offer Yusuf Hamka Duet With Kaesang In The Jakarta Pilkada

JAKARTA - General Chairperson of Golkar Airlangga Hartarto and PSI General Chair, Kaesang Pangarep held a meeting at the Golkar Party DPP office, Slipi, Jakarta.

During the meeting, Airlangga opened the door for PSI cadres to take part in training at the Golkar Institute to offer his cadre who is also the toll road boss, Yusuf Hamka alias Babah Alun to have a duet with Kaesang in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

"Earlier we discussed several things, one of which was, firstly, Golkar opened itself up to cadres rather than PSI through the Golkar Institute. So we will give it, because Golkar Institute is an open public policy training and leadership, and many non-party parties also participate," said Airlangga during a press conference, Thursday, July 11.

Second, Golkar offered PSI members in the DPRD to join the Golkar Party faction.

Third, the cooperation between Golkar and PSI in the 2024 Pilkada. Airlangga said the two parties agreed to encourage Dico Ganindito to run as Mayor of Semarang.

"Mas Dico is already supported by Mas Kaesang, so Golkar and PSI agreed to encourage Mas Dico to advance in the city of Semarang," he said.

Finally, Airlangga offered Babah Alun as Kaesang's partner if the youngest son of President Joko Widodo ran in the upcoming Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"Then of course there is news about how Mr. Kaesang as the chairman of PSI wants to be pushed. Earlier we exchanged ideas in a wider way, the conclusion is that there is still time to decide that there are still two months but if that opportunity exists and Mr. Kaesang is ready to run, the Golkar Party will support it," said Airlangga.

According to Airlangga, Jakarta is one of the areas full of challenges, especially infrastructure. So that Golkar offered the name Yusuf Hamka alias Babah Alun to overcome the problem.

"Well, to support earlier, Mas Ketum, if he chose Jakarta, I would prepare Golkar Party cadres who have crossed the world of infrastructure, namely Babah Alun," said Airlangga.
