Vice President Ma'ruf: Peaceful Transition Of Government Creates Political Stability

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said the transition process of peaceful and inclusive governance could create political stability and support the success of government programs. "A peaceful and inclusive transition is the essence of consolidating democracy which can create political stability and support the success of government programs," said the Vice President while giving a public lecture to Participants of the LXVI Regular Education Program (PPRA) and LXVII 2024 National Resilience Institutions (Lemhannas) at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 10. Ma'ruf Amin said the 2024 General Election had taken place safely and in an orderly manner. Therefore, he said, the success of holding the 2024 General Election must be the main asset to strengthen democracy. "The next task is to embrace all parties to remain united in building the Indonesian nation and ensure that the transition process of government takes place peacefully and inclusively," said Ma'ruf. Ma'ruf also stated that during the remaining Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin administration, the government will continue to ensure that infrastructure, education, health and economic development programs continue so that the benefits can be felt by all levels of society. Previously, President Joko Widodo reminded the importance of ensuring a smooth transition of government going forward, in order to maintain national political stability, and create a good image in the international community. This was conveyed by the President in an introductory speech at the Plenary Cabinet Session regarding the Latest Economy at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday, June 24.

"In particular, what must be our concern, namely political stability, this is important so that there is no political turbulence, so that the transition from the current government to the next government is smooth and good. That is what the international community has always seen," said the President.
