10 Police Reported By Sekap And Anianya Residents Examined By Propam Bali Police

A total of 10 police officers suspected of molesting and detaining a resident with the initials IWS (47) were questioned by the Bali Police Propam.

"Meanwhile, after the report, there were 10 people being investigated and that is still being investigated," said Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, Tuesday, July 9.

The examination was to determine whether there was a violation of procedures during the process of investigating the fraudulent vehicle case in Klungkung Regency, Bali.

Apart from being questioned by Propam, the 10 members of the Klungkung Police will be questioned by investigators from the Bali Police General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) regarding the alleged criminal act in the incident.

"It will be processed according to our legal provisions, there is a professional code of ethics. Later, a professional code of ethics trial will be conducted, then it will also include allegations of indications of a criminal act while processing at the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation. (If) in Propam, it was outside the procedure or there was an act of violating the code of ethics and it has already been processed at the Propam Polda Bali," he added.

Meanwhile, when the interior was carried out, it was suspected that 10 police personnel at the Klungkung Police had procedural errors and were finally questioned by the Bali Police Propam.

"During the deepening of friends from Klungkung, maybe it was a procedural mistake, finally the members are currently in the process as well. It has been examined at the Propam Polda Bali and Ditreskrimum as well, because there are police reports that they are also in the process of alleged indications of abuse being carried out," he said.

"(About outside the procedure) Yes, the proof is that there are people who report and are harmed, it means that it is outside the procedure. If the procedure is appropriate, there will definitely be no community (reporting)," he said.

Previously, the Bali Legal Aid Foundation (LBH), handled allegations of abuse and confinement carried out by a number of police officers at the Klungkung Police Station, Bali, to a man who is a resident of Denpasar City, Bali, with the initials IWS (47).

IWS admitted that he was abused and held captive by a number of police officers from the Klungkung Police, Bali, so that as a result of this IWS suffered permanent injuries to one of the IWS eardrums.

Director of LBH Bali Rezky Pratiwi said,

LBH Bali received a complaint from IWS who received it

acts of alleged confinement, abuse, theft, and arbitrary actions or unfair trials

in a forced effort carried out by 10 police personnel from the Klungkung Police, at

"(For the injured eardrum) it was the result of a doctor's examination. So there was a tear in the left ear," said Rezky, during a press conference at the Bali LBH Office, Friday (5/7).
