AGO Sends 13 Corporate Suspects, Jiwasraya Corruption Mega Case Immediately Tried

JAKARTA - Junior Attorney General Investigators for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) The Attorney General's Office has delegated 13 suspects of alleged corruption in the management of finance and investment funds by PT Jiwasraya. The suspects with evidence were handed over to the Central Jakarta District Attorney (Kejari).

"There are 13 corporate cases today, stage two, the submission of suspects and evidence to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Central Jakarta District Attorney," said the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenum) of the Attorney General's Office, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak in a written statement.

After the 13 corporate suspects and evidence were submitted, the prosecutor then prepared their indictments to be submitted to the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor).

The thirteen corporate suspects, PT. Millenium Capital Management, PT. Treasure Fund Investama, PT. Pool Advista Aset Manajemen, PT. GAP Capital (formerly PT. Guna Abadi Perkasa), PT. Maybank Asset Management, PT. Pinnacle Persada Investama, PT. Sinarmas Asset Management.

Furthermore, PT. Corfina Capital, PT. Capital Asset Management Services, PT. Prospera Asset Management, PT. MNC Asset Management, PT. OSO Investment Management, and PT. PAN Arcadia Capital (formerly PT. Dhawibawa Investment Management).

"So now the prosecutor is preparing indictments and to immediately delegate 13 corporations to the Corruption Court," said Leonard.

Meanwhile, based on investigative examination reports in the framework of calculating state losses on financial management and investment funds at PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) for the period 2008 to 2018 Number: 06 / LHP / XXI / 03/2020 dated March 9, 2020 from the State Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI), state losses reached IDR 12.157 trillion.
