Case Of Alleged False Charter During PPDB Semarang, Parents Of Students Feel Harmed By Police Report

The Semarang Polrestabes investigated the case of the alleged fake charter used to register with one of the high schools in the capital city of Central Java during the implementation of the acceptance of new students or PPDB 2024.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Semarang Polrestabes Kompol Andika Dharma Sena said the alleged fake charter had been officially reported by one of the parents of a student who felt aggrieved by the existence of documents that could provide additional points during registration of new students.

He explained that the incident began when there were parents who canceled their registration to SMAN 3 Semarang with additional conditions in the form of a certificate of achievement for the championship marching band from Malaysia, International Virtual Band Championship 2022.

"There are parents who feel aggrieved by the allegedly fake charter," he said in Semarang, Central Java (Central Java), Tuesday, July 9, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the police are currently still collecting evidence and have examined seven witnesses.

From the initial examination, he said, there were several indications of the allegedly fake charter used by a number of students of SMPN 1 Semarang.

Some of the characteristics that are suspected of being the charter are fake between the committee that signed, the writing of the names of each student individually, and the writing of the first winner who should have won III.

Coordination with the Central Java Provincial Youth and Tourism Office, he said, has also been carried out.

However, he continued, there is still one witness, namely the band's marketing coach with the initials S, who until now has not fulfilled the police summons.

Andika added that the perpetrators in the alleged case of forgery of the charter will be charged with Article 263 of the Criminal Code regarding letter forgery.

"We are ensnared by Article 263 Paragraph 1 regarding the person who made the fake letter, as well as Paragraph 2 about the person who used the fake letter," he said.

Previously, a number of junior high school students in Semarang City allegedly used certificates of achievements that were allegedly fake to register at several high schools during PPDB 2024.

The use of this certificate of achievement will provide 3 additional points for students who register.
