Setiawan's Legislative Officer Will File A Compensation Lawsuit, This Is The Money That Can Be Obtained

JAKARTA - Pegi Setiawan's camp will again sue the West Java Regional Police. This time, regarding compensation for detention in the alleged murder case against Vina and Eky Cirebon.

"Yes, there are plans to sue regarding compensation," said Pegi Setiawan's attorney, Toni RM when confirmed, Tuesday, July 9.

Later in the lawsuit there will be a value of material and immaterial compensation. For material related to the loss of Pegi Setiawan's income during detention.

Meanwhile, immaterial is a compensation caused by the disruption of Pegi Setiawan's psychology since his detention, named a suspect until he was detained.

However, for the nominal, Toni has not confirmed it. This matter will be discussed further to determine the right number.

"The value has not been determined," said Toni.

However, when referring to Government Regulation (PP) Number 92 of 2014 concerning victims of wrongful arrests, the amount of compensation is regulated.

The amount of compensation is based on the reasons referred to in Article 77 letter b and Article 95 of the Criminal Procedure Code at least Rp. 500,000 and a maximum of Rp. 100,000,000.

Then, if the victim is wrongly arrested and gets injured or injured, then, they have the right to receive compensation of Rp. 25 million to Rp. 300 million.

Meanwhile, for victims of wrongful arrest who died when secured, they will receive compensation of Rp. 50 million to Rp. 600 million

Peti Setiawan was released based on a pretrial decision. The sole judge of the Bandung District Court, Eman Sulaeman, ordered the West Java Police to immediately release Pegi Setiawan from detention.

The order is a pretrial decision that won the Pegi Setiawan camp over his determination as a suspect in the alleged murder case against Vina and Eky Cirebon.

"Ordered the respondent to release the applicant from detention," said Judge Eman during a trial at the Bandung District Court, Monday, July 8.

The respondent, namely the West Java Regional Police, was also ordered to stop the investigation process against Pegi Setiawan.
